This past Saturday, we had the unveiling of the Connecticut Gold Star Families Memorial. As a Gold Star wife, I was touched by the large crowd and the beautiful monument. The ceremony was heartfelt and it’s always comforting to talk with other Gold Star families; you know, the people who vainly hope that no one ever has to join us.
